VIDEO NAME: TRAVEL HACKS

VIDEO TYPE: TRAVEL TIPS

A travel channel is launching a new video hosted by a young woman which will feature travel hacks. She wants the thumbnail to be light and airy with a soft color palette.

I created three options for this project. I used a bright yellow color fill for the first option and reduced the opacity to 35%, creating a natural,  sunny glow. I chose the font Viktor Script as its curved lines were soft and fit into the client’s “light and airy” feel. I chose soft pink as the font color for the same reason.

With the second option, I made the picture black and white and wrapped the text behind the woman in the image, truly making her the focal point. I used light blue for this photo as I thought it would stand out more against the black and white backdrop.

For the third option, I kept it simple, adjusting the picture’s hue, saturation, and brightness. Then I did a simple left justification, white text color, and drop shadow to make the title pop.
